What years of 2.3 had the a/c compressor on the left(driver)side and what years had it on the right(pass).:icon_confused:?I'm trying to find an a/c bypass pulley for my '97 but the DORMAN company seems to think that all 2.3's were built the same way for all years.

The newer (96- up) had it mounted to the head on the drivers side. Older had it on the block on the pass.

I wanna say 93+ I know exactly what you mean, the a/c and alternator swapped places at some point. I know that Mustangs had the alt on the DS all the way through '93, but then again, they got the 8 plug heads 2 years after the Ranger.
