2.2 Perkins to a 2.3 4d55t diesel

OK, so I have a 82 Mazda b2200 with a 2.2 Perkins diesel. I bought a 86 ranger with the 4d55t 2.3L turbo diesel. Both trucks are 2 wheel drive with 5 speeds. I already removed both engine, transmissions and drive shafts. My plan is to put the the 4d55t, trans, and drive shaft into the Mazda.
My problem is I thought the 4d55t was completely a mechanical engine but It has a full throttle switch on it. Does any body know If this is a necessary part of the motor to run right? Or am I going to have to do a wiring harness swap too?

If any know anything that might help this swap go easier please let me know.

you probably need the full throttle switch to help deliver the right amount of fuel into the engine at higher rpms.

damn you for finding the holy grail of ranger engines.

Yeah I just didn't know if it was a open/closed switch that only needed power and ground to make proper fuel delivery at full throttle or if it actually needed the computer.

Wish I could get my hands on one of those ranger diesel engines, 42 mpg must be nice. I know they dont have much power but my truck only in town drives.

I am going to sell the 2.2l na motors once my swap is complete. only want a couple hundred bucks for it. It does need a injection pump rebuild or to replace the ip. The Perkins ran great though, just not enough power.

Can you take some pics of the mitsubishi drivetrain you pulled? I am trying to build an FM145 to go behind my 2.3 turbo diesel engine.
