I have an 83 with a full frame build. It's sitting with a carbd 302 with a c4 sitting in it right now. Really been looking into the diesel that was an option in the first rangers
I found a motor and transmission for 1700. That's radiator to driveshaft. Top to bottom.
Has anyone done this swap? Anyone know what I would have to look out for?
I should be able to buy the motor mounts and they should bolt into my engine crossmember then I would just build a new transmission crossmember.
I think it would just be an awesome little truck. I have a fuel cell in the rear under the bed, I know it uses a mechanical pump on the motor and another on the frame so my cell should be fine
