2 15" subs

i call bs on that one

it didnt shatter, it did crack though, i have pics to prove it. those subs ****ing pound. too much for a ranger, wish i would have only bought one. i dont recomend 2 15's for a ranger. one IS more than enough.
2 12's at the most.

gotta find em first, there on one of my memory cards, i dont want to be seen as a liar here so remind me if i dont post them in a few days. ill post the pics of my box at the same time, theyre on the same card.

id bet there was already a tiny crack and the pressure from the subs made the crack grow bigger and more noticeable.

that's what i would say.... that is tempered glass... i bet the stats on pressure needed to crack those in on the 'net somewhere...

i'd be interested in seeing what the subs could pressurize out and what the cab would need to crack a window...

I was being followed by a punk at school today with 2 15's in his trunk. His trunk sounded like a bunch of aluminum cans rattling, and I got a headace from the sickening amount of bass coming from his car. Don't do it, because someone will likely punch you in the face for being such a pest to society.

i would do one 15" if anything, really two 12"s or two 10"s would be ideal. two 15"s is just sick.

if you have a correctly built box, correctly ported if that applies, good wiring, an adequate amp, gains set correctly, coil(s) hooked up correctly, a good headunit pushing, and a quality battery pushing, you should be more than fine with (2) twelve's, especially in a truck where the audio is at most 2 feet behind you.

now in say a car where the noise has to travel through the trunk, rear seats, and then to your ears... i can see having a 15 maybe...

but honestly, like steve meade and people like him... they are just people with too much money and time on their hands... it's pretty much pointless, and they will most likely encounter hearing problems in the future... so have fun with that!

that being said, if i could have steve meade's cars/trucks for free, I would take them, and drive them, and show them off with no questions asked... but i would never spend that much money on 8 15's and such... it's just a waste to me. and a health hazard... not to mention against the law, pretty sure a cop would pull you over for disturbing the peace, ESPECIALLY at night.

there probably was already a crack, i did beat the hell out of that truck (ahem.........wheelies on a whooped out old railrod track grade) but it did crack from the bottom corner up, so there is a possibility there was a crack i didnt notice.
