is it the same bolt pattern? the rf was the first ranger engine? the perkins? it was a 2.2 and different deal iirc...
the rf...its the same critter that ss in the escort...different then the ranger.
i would just go right to the jdm market...it is still in production in one form.
just use the zuk trans, and t case if you need 4x4..
google it, maybe they are the same, but i been looking at the little diesels for years, and when it comes to these useless powerless cowards, the japanese domestic market guys are the best way to go.
the thought of swapping in less then 120 crank hp into something to drive daily makes me cringe.
The swp would actually be for my my 1954 Ford customline I'm just trying to find out what 2wd transmissions would bolt up and I've heard so not concerned that a b2000 tranny will bolt up and work with the use of a kia sportage flywheel I'm just wondering if there's truth to this and if these same trannys were used in a ranger at all
well then....using what ya got is what i like. and short of just making your own adapter with the tempo bell housing, finding a diesel bell for a ranger may be the way to go.
i honestly would go jdm, get a small turbo from them and that trans and you know it will be money properly wasted on this critter.
