I'm contemplating going to a 4.10 rear end with my 83 Ranger. TK4 manual. 1 to 1 final drive ratio in the trans. I think:icon_confused:

Based on these pieces, and a 225/70R14 tire, I'd be running about 3100 RPM at 60 mph.

I mostly do in town driving, but do occasionally use the highway. And if you don't go at least 60 you'll get run over.

Is this too many RPM for my motor???

mine stock did 3000 at 65-70 mph. it wont hurt it. you wont get the best gas mileage. but as far as hurting something, no

You'll be fine... You'll actually get better gas mileage at that RPM... RPM doesn't hurt an engine as long as you stay is the range that Ford engineers designed your engine for... I'm not sure why so many people think your engine will blow up if it's spinning above 3000rpm...
