I just got myself an 85 Ranger for a couple hundred bucks with the 2.8 5speed! It started and ran great but had a coolant issue. pulled the heads off and looks like they are cracked, what a shame! Its great to be part of this forum now, I've gotten a lot of ideas for what to do with it now! I will have to post pictures of it soon!
