1st gen bench seat floor console ideas?

Mainly he stores shoes in them. Why? I don't know, it just seems like the the thing to do I guess. :dntknw:

My son would put his socks in there or on the floor. Guess he liked being barefoot.

The steering wheel is probably leeching chemicals/adhesives and every bit of dirt from your hands is sticking to it. That's why I used brake clean on a rag on my porno red steering wheel. It still looks brand new, but I'd test it out on a very small spot first.

I just built my own. When I put the T5 in the truck it was in a completely different locations so I used the old mounting holes from the old four-speed to install the floor console. The seat console I just built out of the extra scraps. I have it set up to be belted in with the seatbelt but I never really use the seatbelt.View attachment 60204View attachment 60205View attachment 60204View attachment 60205View attachment 60204View attachment 60205
What did that bench seat come out of? That’s exactly what I’m looking for.

It’s the original with a western style seat cover.

Even though I posted this picture with no explanation of what I did to it in what I did to my ranger, I figure I put it here for you Bird maybe this is an option you might like. I used the mounting bracket for the center console and the arm rest from my 89 stx center console. I painted the bracket black, and I grabbed a cup holder from a 96 ranger.

No one? Really?
I feel ya on the sweet tea for sure, I never leave home without it. As far a console goes, I wanted to put one in my '90 w/60/40 split bench but there is just not enough room, with a floor shifter. I ended up just choosing a dual, adjustable cup holder w/ a recessed storage space in it and just sat it in the passenger seat as I very rarely have a passenger. So far it's worked great, hasn't slid around, tipped over or lost a cup or glass yet. Would prefer a real console but I'd have to go with bucket seats and use the console out of my other '90 (parked). I prefer the bench seat now. Wish I could be more help. Loonasea

I'm using a 2005 ford tauras folding arm rest center console. Bottom portion where seat is unfolds and has 2 cup holders on the backside. Unfolded the cup holders are revealed. The seat back folds down for a arm rest. It fits perfect with 1988 a pair of ranger buckets ( the drivers seat is cut down 40/60 ). I can fold it up when I need to put 3 people in the cab. No drinks with 3 people though but how often do you carry 3 people. I'm now use after market seats.
