1st and 2nd gen doors..?

i saw a thread asking a similar question.. but anyways..
do second gen doors line up with a first gen cab? found some pristine doors on a 2nd gen today at the scrap yard.. wanna know if i can put them on my 88..?

exactly the same. The exterior she'll of the cab didnt change between the generations.

there is also a major plus to using the 2nd gen doors, u get updated door panels AND u score door speakers lol

Okay so I'll add my silly question to this one....
what if you wanted 2nd door panels ..speakers and all, with the older style wing windows?

Not possible. I do believe the door handles are in a different location on the newer doors (don't hold me to that, I will have to look). You will also have to modify the Gen 1 doors to accept the speaker.

they're not in a different location, just have different style handles and use a rod (1st gen) instead of a cable (2nd gen). The door panels will go on just fine. And yes you'll have to cut a hole and do some work to get the speaker mounted.
