Part is not available! Is there a workaround to this. Hate to have to scrap the truck. Used might be only option. (1L5Z-9424-A) Is intake manifold for 2002 2.3 L.
The exact problem is with a vacuum control actuator at the rear of manifold. The ball broke off the lever. Maybe there is a part number for the actuator

I'm not familiar with the engine. Got a picture of what's broken?

the flappers inside the runners can be removed. the shaft must stay in place to occupy the holes.
a later manifold without the flappers fits, but the computer might want to see the actuator status.
got pics of the broken part?

No photo. It is hidden way in the back. I like the idea of cutting out the flaps. If the computer wants a reading I'll stick in a resistor to mimic actuator. Thanks.

it isn't the easiest thing to get a picture of.

The ford part number for the actuator is 1L5Z-9L492-AC.

Dorman previously made repacement parts for the Duratec intake manifold with the IMRC. The Dorman part number for the complete manifold assembly is 615-462, but it is currently not listed on their website. Dorman also had IMRC actuators for that are used on other vehicles with the 4 Cyl Duratec engines. They are a little different, but serve the same purpose. It's possible you may be able to interchange them or rebuild your old one if the moving parts are the same.

There are several threads about rebuilding the IMRC and components on the Focus, Fusion, Escape and other forums specific to the models that used Duratec engines. I don't know if that would apply to your situation, but it may be worth a look.

The Mazda part number for the intake is 1F20-13-130C. Searching for that part number shows some sources where it may be available.

That is a lot of good information.

I had the same problem! I hand fabricated that little arm in steel! Took a long time to needle file the square hole for the shaft!
