1999 Ranger Dana 35 gears

Hello I have been trying to locate 3.55 gears to swap in my Dad's 99 Ranger 4x4. We swaped out the 4.10s for 3.55s in the rear awhile ago and havn't done the front axle yet. I'm confused on which gears will fit. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

Do I need the whole assembly or can I get away with just the ring and pinion?

Being 3.55 was a stock available ratio in some models, I would suggest trying to locate an axle assembly in a wrecking yard. It'll likely be much cheaper than the parts + labor required to set up a different set of gears in your existing housing.

Thats a good idea. My brother has his own shop with two lifts so the labor isn't really an issue but since we would have to drop the front axle anyway that might be an option.
