1999 ranger 4WD

I had to remove the plastic snap ring on the right front axle to get it out of the way to replace lower ball joint. The snap ring broke. I went to local Ford dealer for a new one and he told me it only comes with new axle they are not sold seprately. Does any one know where I could find one?
