I drive a 99 2.5L ranger should be the same thing. Only prob is I don't have a tach. But I can get my live data scanner back from my friend and gather info for you if you'd like? Also if you can't find a genuine motorcraft IAC I can pull one from my local yard and check its function off my truck then Mail it to you.

Oh, great, I'd appreciate that! I got the wrong part (IAC) from a well known auto-parts dealer and am going through the pain in the (you know what) return process of the IAC. Any live data would help since that's probably my next step is to have a live scan if possible. Please direct private mail if you can get the live scan data and if you are able to find a good/salvaged IAC. Thanks again for reply from Ohio!!

Yes, those are one of the better tools to have if you own or plan to own, ANY 1996 or newer vehicle

I recently upgrade to a BlueDriver OBD2 bluetooth unit because I needed to read transmission codes which the "less expensive" units can't do
No complaints about the ELM327 unit, which I have had for years, just needed trans code reading for a relative's car, I am a Manual guy, lol

That's the one I use I did some reading awhile ago seemed good to me I use an Android phone when I scan with it.

I bought the "torque pro" app it was 5$.
There is a free "lite" version it just has a few features locked. Should still do the live data iirc
