1999 5.0L Mountaineer Build - SAS with Tons

16s thats whats on mine and i dont think you can even use the sticky balancing weights

Factory wheel was 16".

Brad, Rock has Timken unit bearings for $200 a piece and "budget" versions for $140 a piece. There is no way this thing will weigh as much as a loaded SD, I imagine the budget ones would be fine.

Kris, Are you running aluminum or steelies?

So 16" is for sure the limit.lol Sometimes a steel 15" will fit where an aluminum 16" was tight.

If the truck wasnt in a snowbank right now id grab a pic but id say theres like 1/8" cleance to the caliper max. Im not sure if you can grind and use a wheelspacer like a normal 60.

But then where do you find 15" 8x170mm rims lol

I plan on running 17" steels. However, I am going to buy tires first.

Ive been considering buying trail worthty fab re centrerd h1s. I dunno about there but up here most of the used 42-44s are 16.5"

17" Is the new 15" anyways.lol

I was wondering for myself.lol Thnking a narrowed SD60 with 5x5.5 pattern...and keeping my 15" TSLs

Those are the wheels I like. But not sure if I will find used 16.5 40/42s

16.5 44 and 38.5s used to be everywhere on CL in the cut bogger or TSL flavors...but they seem to be getting scarce nowadays.

Just messing around a bit. We have had interesting weather causing a layer of ice to develop on my driveway.

First job

Flexing....
