Was towed Friday night and again Sunday as it would not start. Changed out starter and starter relay as truck would just click. Truck wants to turn over but seems like not getting gas....Help! Any suggestions?

So the motor is cranking just not actually starting? It sounds like also you may have had this problem, got it running, then it died again? That sound like a bad fuel pump. Have a friend crank the engine while you bang the gas tank. If it fires theres your problem. If it doesn't it could mean it's all the way out. Do you have alot of pressure in the fuel rail?

On the other hand you say it just clicked when turning over. Did you recharge the battery and it died again? If your alternator is out the battery runs the electronics until the battery drains. Then your truck dies after the battery drains. If you hook a charger up will it start after charging for about a hour?

I am trying to figure out exactly what your problem is but you have to be more specific as to what your truck is actually doing when you are trying to start it.

does it smell like its gettin fuel and have you checked to see if its getting spark to the plugs

You may check the fuel inertia cut of switch. Mine is located in the cab of the truck, on the passenger side, at the bottom of the firewall and just above the floorboard (small black rectangle box with a red bottom on top). I had mine trip after driving through a field. Took me a week to figure it out. It would turn over but would not fire.

Please don't start the same thread in multiple forum sections please.

Have someone sit in the truck and have them try and start the truck while you beat on the gas tank with a rubber mallet.

You can also turn the key to the ON position (don't start it) and listen for the fuel pump.
