1998 Ranger 4x4

My son just swapped out transmission on 1998 4x4, the transmission seems to be running smooth. Shifts smooth, however the OD off light has started blinking and the check engine light has come on. Any suggestions? Thanks (fluid was check and is ok)

check engine light was unrelated and resolved. But the OD off light still intermittently blinks, mainly when auto trans shifts between 2nd and thirds (no slipping, shifts smoothly). Could it be a sensor? Anyone know where the sensor is located on a 5r55e transmission?

You will need to get it scanned to know for sure.

Even though the check engine light isn't on? We scanned it with a hand held computer and it passed. Is there a different computer we need to use? Is it a possibility that it's the VSS, and does anyone know where it is located on the 5R55E transmission?
