Hi guys,

this is my first post.

Ive found a really nice, clean Mazda B4000 with low miles. I like the truck, and dont mind the green, but its the brown two tone that I don't like a whole lot.

To me it looks like a sticker, up around the wheel wells, and I was wondering if any of you have peeled it off with a heat gun or any other method. Otherwise I like the truck.

Heres the link.

Yep, just stickers. I used a heat gun to take mine off. It leaves glue residue behind, so you gotta use something like mineral spirits or gasoline on a rag to get that gunk off. Good luck man!

Wicked!!!! thanks guys. Its a good deal. I'm happy to hear, shell be pretty too.

So is the brown under the speckled sticker, a sticker as well? Did they just layer two decals on top of each other?

Yes the color is brown under everything. They paint the whole truck. i would use a good Hair Dryer instead of a heat gun. A plastic putty knife is also needed. It will take you a while but will be well worth it.

Great thanks guys.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Its funny, I worked for Mazda years ago, and always loved these trucks. It just took me a while to buy one!

Just a quick one, does the rear diff in these take anything fancy? just 80w90 im assuming. I know some trucks call for 80w140.

Yep, 80w90 is fine

I removed mine with a heat gun and Goof-off for removing the adhesive. Worked great but the paint was fresher and brighter under the decals so you can still see the outlines.

Go to any auto body and paint supply store and buy a eraser wheel for sticker graphics and pinstripes.
if you have paint graphics on top of clear coat you can use oven cleaner.
There's videos on YouTube for both methods.
