My 1998 Ranger won't change into gear. It had become progressively more difficult to change gears over the last few months or so but now it won't shift at all. Started driving fine initially but as I began to downshift at a redlight it would not shift. The clutch has no more pressure but I feel as though it could be something simple. Any ideas?

The best advice I can give is to check the basics. Any fluid in the clutch MC? Evidence of fluid leaking underneath where the hydraulic line connects or from the housing? I had a slave cylinder go bad once with similar symptoms to yours. Of course, Ranger slave cylinders are internal, so if that's the problem you might as well change your clutch and throwout bearing while you're in there.

No replies in a month is odd around here...hope you got it fixed or do soon.
