I am going to order a set of the AVM hubs tomorrow for my Ranger 4L. I think the idea of lessening the parasitic drivetrain loss when on the road is a good thing. And when offroad I know I am in 4x4. How did your system tank, my vacuums hubs are leaking so the AVM's sounded like a smart decision. Depending on how soon you need you 4by if you keep an eye on my "Show Off Your Truck" thread I will post pics and my thoughts when I get them.

i was planning on buying those hubs too but... is this fix worth doing for the time being while i gather money to buy the locking hubs?

It really depends on how much wheeling you want to do before then. I am accepting my truck as a 2WD for the next couple weeks but if you need 4x4 before then do it. You are going to pull off you PVH hubs anyways.

k well if i decide to go wheeling i might lock them. if not i can wait also.. since i dont plan on getting these hubs till sept. around my bday. once you get the hubs give me a full review.. i cant seem to find any online....

oh and does anyone know of any easy lockers for the front diff??

I will be sure to post up as much as I can about them on my truck's thread providing the info I couldn't find. As for the lockers it is a D35 so I think some Jeep ones may fit, check out the Axle forums.

i finaly got my hubs and body lift 2day... installing my hubs in the rain half way threw..

well i got them in last night at 6pm.. installed in about 15min..

here's what they look like.

ill eventualy put out a review for them.. since no one has made one online yet... for some unknown reason..

Looks good! I've been watching this thread, thanks for the update :icon_thumby:
