Wondering how difficult it would be to use a two-wheel drive tranny on a four-wheel drive truck. I know they are both the 4R44E, and I know the tail stock is different.
Some data suggest the tail shaft is the same, some suggest it's different.
And some suggest the swap is simple and others suggest you've got to tear the tranny down to change the tail shaft.
Haven't had much luck tracking down a decent used transmission that doesn't cost an arm and a leg
