Wondering if anyone else is using the ricks rangers adapter plates and what the fitment is like, I've got mine mocked up, but seems like the motor sits a touch high with 4.0 mounts. Motor sits a bit to the right(passenger side) and can't be moved due to clearance with the wiper motor. Wondering if this offset is fine or if I should so some modifications.

That wiper motor looks like it sticks out farther than mine. IDK that that would help you. It looks like you need a shorter upper intake. Any chance that's a F150 intake and the Mustang or Explorer intake is lower?

Slight offset to passenger side is normal for Ranger engines. You need the clearance on driver side for steering vs. Exhaust arguments. I plan on using Fox Body Mustang mounts. Don't know how that will change things.

I agree that intake looks tall. For comparison, here is the upper intake from a 96 Explorer. It looks like yoir intake should work. It just creates some tight spots for you.

5 1/2" tall at the boss for this mounting bolt.

I really appreciate this photo. It gives me a reference to start figurung out where I'm going to put the ecu. My '93 Ranger does not have the ecu pocket up thereabove the heater/AC duct and I don't want to splice wires to mount it below the brake master where my current ecu is located. This photo gives me mpre hope that I have room to fab a mounting location above the intake toward the passenger side. Do you have any body lift? Or is your body at stock height?

F-150 has a massive dual hose thing. Actually outperforms the Mustang/Explorer intake but only fits in a fullsize truck lol

Looks like a standard Explorer intake to me.

I experimented fitting one on my '85... keep in mind I have a 3" bodylift

Stock height, no body lift

Makes sense, and the intake is off an explorer, might just be how things fit, and realistically I woukd only be able to move 1/4" to the driver side before header clearance is an issue, might be trying to be too precise lol
