1997 Mazda B2300 Sleeper

Some black ones, no bigger than 16". I think those would look the best.

As I said, "to each his own", but I like these>>>

Nice seeing you here. I have always loved your Ranger, your son's too. My initial thought was to put a Bowtie 350 in mine also but all my friends promised to tar the car if I did, went with a Ford 302 Short block instead.
As for the wheels, they are 17" GT500 Cobra Wheels and the tires Nittos. You guys think they look bad? What do you suggest? I am all ears.

Hey now..............too each his own!

I'm sure some view mine & wonder, WTH is he runnin modified stock Jeep Wrangler wheels, or a SBC for that matter, but it's what I want, and what I built.....

I've seen his truck before on a sister site, and have passed a few PM's back & forth..............................as before, SWEET LIL' SLEEPER!!!

PS: That's what mine started out as, a sleeper, but that went out the window with my exhaust system choice...............only way mine passes as a sleeper, is sittin still NOT RUNNIN!:derisive::3gears:

Don't get me wrong. I really don't mean any disrespect. The truck is amazing. The wheels are just fugly. Looks like walmart special spinners. If thats what you like, its fine, I'm just commenting with my own opinions.

Looks like my twin

Man, that sure has a nice stance. The rear wheels and tires fit just perfect.

I want to lower mine on the rear about two inches but the driveshaft and the fuel tank are way too close as it is right now, I am afraid to lower it.

On my Mazda as soon as I get the engine compartment where I want it I am going to paint it a slightly darker color like on the above beast.

Juan

ps. My wife also hates my wheels, even if they are GT500 Cobra Wheels.

I'd like to see them next to another car. They just don't look right at all for the truck.

just curious, do you work at Don Meredith Printing? I swear I have seen that truck there.

Anyways, we should throw together a Louisville meet. I work in Louisville and live in Southern Indiana (Charlestown)......

Nice looking ride. I am impressed with the clean install.

Don Meredith

Actually I rent office space from Don Meredith. I am at the second floor. Stop by sometime and visit. I own my own business, it is just me in the office, so anytime is okay time to talk truck stuff. Yes, I do park my truck in front whenever I drive it.

i thought I had seen that truck there before.....whenever i go in there i tried figuring out whos truck it was...didn't realize there was a second floor.....

Next time i am in there I will run upstairs...

ok juan, i love your truck, i think that you have done a great job on it, but my first thought when i saw the truck was how ugly those wheels looked, get a set of black steelies and then you will have an awesome sleeper!!!!!!

something about them, they just dont look good on the truck...

Ugly wheels

Man, you guys are killing me.

First my wife says it when I get home after putting these wheels on my truck. Every time I get the truck cleaned up and shinny she says, "the brightness off of the wheels don't let you see the truck, you gonna cause an accident or something with those wheels"

Then every swinging D _ _ K that comes by says the same thing, "awesome looking truck but the wheels got to go"

I get the point, just not the money right now. Later dudes.

Juan

yeah, i would go with a set of cobra r's. those look almost like walmart hub caps. but man that is one awesome sleeper.

Jaun...................you should be able to put a flip-kit in your truck without interferrin with the gas tank or driveshaft.

I put one in my Son's 93...............we both run 275/60's and IMO they fill the wheelwells perfect. I did have to use aftermarket shackles to get it to sit where he liked it. As you know, I have an Explorer (under axle setup), so no new for a flip-kit.

Here's a couple pics to refresh memories:

Oh that hurt!!!

WALMART HUBCAPS???:nono::nono:

Ouch, ouch, ouch, that hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, that's it, I am gonna have to get me extra part time work cause I have to make me some more money to fix the wheel issue right quick.

Man, no one has said it as beautiful, "Look Like Walmart Hubcaps", you're too much. You guys are getting wayyy too much fun out of my wheel.:haha::haha:

Not going to be able to sleep tonight. "Blue Light Special on aisle 4"

Juan

IMO the wheels look fine the truck just sits to high

Great ideas

NcRanger,

Love your suggestion.

Now if I can figure out how to do it economically.

Thanks, man,:headbang:
