1997 manual 1354

i swapped out my manual 1354 out for a 1350.. the reason being that the 1354 is stuck in 4high wile in 2wd. what would couse that problem and how do i fix it.

or can a shifter from the mid 80s a4ld manual t-case set up work with a m5od and manual 1350 set up?

Those linkages adjust a little bit mine gave me that problem too.Adjust the slotted small bolt to allow the linkage to move the farthest forward as you can.Another thing if you put a body lift in it sometimes doesn't clear on the forward part of the slot.Disconnect the linkage and see if the transfer case can disconnect when you change it by hand.
