1997 Ford Ranger Passenger Wheel locked up in drive

Need help figuring out my situation... 1997 Ford Ranger 4.0 2WD Awhile ago of the crazy ex gf let the truck over heat several times, it sat for a few months while I replaced the gaskets that were bad. When everything was was put back together, we started the truck and reversed it out of the drive way and everything was fine. As soon as we put the truck into drive, it would not go... So we drove it up the driveway and left some rubber on the ground. We pulled the drum off to make sure everything was fine. Messed with the star adjuster and it was fine again.

Several months later with no issue's the truck randomly did it as my friend was about to pull out of the store parking lot. He ended up reversing which still worked and put it back to drive and everything was fine again. After that it started to do it here and there and now it stuck again. We jacked the truck up to check the drum,pad's springs... everything is good and also spi's why ispns freely with no tire. As soon as the tire was back on it locked up again...

Having a very hard time finding issue's related to my problem so that hoping someone has had the same and found the problem.
