I want to replace the cat with a universal cat but where can i get a flange adapter from?

The converter flange is rectangular and 3 bolt

Cut the old cat pipe and just use the round part...and slip the unicat in

The old flange is rotted away

Then I smash one side of a 3 or 3.5 inch into an oval and pound it on ...reduce to what is needed and install.

Take the unicat to a local shop and they will likely fit it and weld er in for 100 bux or so.

There's a ton of ways to do it on the side of the road with a grinder....drill ... hammer...and some wrenches not having to risk dealing with the manifold flanges...which likely are ghosted.

Someone was making them and had them for sale here. I can't find the thread. They were stainless and super expensive.

I should add this to my list of things to cut on my plasma table. Would be really easy. In the past I have just used the old flange, ground off the weld around the pipe, and welded in pieces to make the oval part round...in 2", 2-1/4", etc... but you need the flange to begin with.

Or....a hammer.

Is your Y pipe intact? If so you can simply cut the flange off of it, use Bobby's hammer trick with bigger pipe and eliminate that part completely. Weld your oval to round converter piece onto your existing Y pipe and then reduce it down to whatever you need. Lots of ways to skin this cat

Thanks for the idea, I already fabricated a pipe and flange, where can I get that gasket ?

Any of the parts stores will carry it, I usually get them at Autozone.

FEL-PRO 60796
MAHLE F14763
WALKER 31545
VICTOR REINZ 711360900

Anyone have any other numbers as this one doesn't match up. Autozone couldn't use the other numbers
