I just found out my truck is missing this optional piece, and now I really want one. Anyone holding one they never use?

Thanks!

Still looking? I've got one in gray in my 1997 that I never use. It's nice and clean since it's rolled up 24/7. Not sure how much it would cost to ship a long package like that to Texas, but I'd take $25+shipping for it.

Heck yeah I'm interested. My zip code is 78748.

Just went out to verify it's in there and in good shape. I'll need to take it out of the cab, then I can estimate the dimensions for shipping costs. Looks like I'll have to take some of the plastic panels off before I can remove the retractable cover, so I probably can't do that til next week or so.

Cool man. No rush.

Did you ever find this piece?

I have a grey one.

I have one.

In B’ham Alabama. Like I said, it’s Grey, but in good condition.

How about $100 puts it on your front doorstep?

I still haven't gotten around to pulling mine out of the truck, sorry. Life got away from me. No hard feelings if you get one from someone else sooner, and probably cheaper to ship from Alabama to Texas.

I need to know if you want this piece. I’m about to sell the truck, but have arranged to sell without this piece if you want it.

If I don’t hear back by Wednesday, I’ll assume you don’t and I’ll let it go with the truck.

Sorry to reply so late with disappointing news: I can't pull this piece. I was hoping I'd only need to remove the center back panel, but the actual mounts for the roll cover are behind the side panels, which are also attached to the speakers and jump seats. I don't have the skill to pull those panels without breaking something. I'd offer to sell you the whole truck, but you'd have to get it to Texas, which would cost more than it's worth.

Also, I don't know if the internal panels are different if the truck came without the roll cover. The cover hooks into divots in the plastic paneling. If yours doesn't have those divots, you'll need to swap the panels to install the part.

Good luck to you.

I've seen other threads that seem to indicate that slots you are talking about are included in SuperCabs, but since the reference is from another forum, I'm not sure I trust it. The 96 catalog here on TRS does not show that option. I wrote that catalog BTW...it may be in the mid-year reprint. Post up a pic to confirm if you don't mind.
