Im having a problem with my ranger and im thinking its just something simple but im not a great problem solver... Its got a 2.3 dual plug 4cyl with a 5 speed. Problem is when I go to start it is really hard starting, cranks a few dosen times before it starts, then it spits and sputters while idleing, and when you floor it it really pops and spits. Thats cold, warm it smartens up a little but floorage still dosent agree with you. The truck has recent plugs, wires and coils, so im thinking a fuel problem??? Let me know what you guys think the help is greatly appriciated.

Clean the MAF.

Confused, Bro. Your Avatar says 88 Ranger. Why are you asking about a 96? Where is the turbo? Turbo88??

Replace the MAF and tune your 4 banger. It will love you. New plugs, wires, fresh oil, tranny oil change, gear lube change and the darn thing will be happy for a long time. Flush the radiator too!!!! And don't for get to floss and stop using your G String to floss..you are scaring the neighbors...lol

Sorry haha its another ranger of mine. The 88's still undertaking a V8 swap (turbos been gone for months now, maybe a new screen name?? lol).

And thanks for the help guys, it worked wonders!
