My 1996 Ranger XLT 4.0 has a R6 L/S 8.8" 2750 3.73 rear axle. Does that mean the front diff has front locking differential also? Getting ready to change the diff oil need to know if I should add friction modifier. I looked around for info but couldn't find any. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :headbang::headbang:

Limited slip in the rear does not mean limited slip in the front. LS in the front is very very rare. You can always jack the front up, lock the hubs, and spin a wheel, see if they both go the same direction. That will tell you for sure.
