1996 B4000 transfer case

I have had a major vibration for about 2 years in my 96 B4000 4.0l automatic. I have a one peice aluminum shaft in now and I narrowed the vibration down to the T-case needing a rebuilt. Since it has been vibrating for a while and getting worse, I am afraid a rebuilt won't cure it so I was looking for a good used one to rebuild then swap out. It is a BW1354 but when I search the big auction site, it seems to skip this year, any searches go from 90-94 then 98-00, can these acually be used? is the gearing changed, Sensors, yokes, I can't find a clear listing of the differences between the years. Is there anyone that can clarify what they are? If I go to my local junk yard, I want to be sure it is the correct case for the truck.

A 1354 is a 1354. One from a 90-97 will work for you. 98+ has a different front output on it than the previous years.
