I've had this truck for nearly a year now, I'm not having any problems with the clutch but I was just wondering if there was any way to check the condition of the clutch without removing the transmission?

Clutches are pretty cut n dried. If its functioning well and not slipping i wouldnt worry about it.

Mainly I'm just curious as to how much clutch material is left on the fins as I'd rather deal with replacing it during the summer when the weather is nice.

You can pull the rubber inspection cover off the driver's side of the bellhousing and look in there but it's not going to tell you a whole lot. If your clutch is extremely worn, you may be able to see that the disc is quite thin... but it's really hard to tell since you're just getting a side view.

If you're really worried about it and can do it yourself, just order up a kit and do it... 4 cylinder trucks are a piece of cake.
