Currently got 225/70 14 on truck and after seeing that the prices for even 15 inch are cheaper then 14 inch i am thinking of upgrading.

Need an idea of what would be involved in changing just the tires and wheels.

Not sure what i have to do to the front and rear axles. Would it be worth it on the long run to go larger? Is it something simple as replacing hubs? Or like on the rear axel, would i have to replace that too?

Any info anyone can offer be greatly appreciated.

The list of parts you will need to go from 14 inch to 15 inch wheels is:

Wheels
Tires

Rangers used the same 5x4.5 lug pattern start to finish, as did a lot of RWD Fords, and after 2000 most of the FWD ones too. This is about as bolt-on as it gets.

Just find some F150 or Explorer wheels. IIRC some rangers had 15's from the get go.

I drive a 1995 4.0... with 15's on it. Mine orginally came off a 1993 Explorer. The tire size was wrong but they were also dry rotted to death and replaced with a better fitting size. Before that I ran 3 F150/ranger late 80's/early 90's wheels and an american racing clone... And this is just the tip of the iceberg in what rim options exist.

As mentioned before, just find the rims you want with the right lug pattern, wrap them with properly sized tires, and rock it.

He can't use F-150 rims, they have the wrong bolt pattern. The bullnose through 96 had a 5x5.5 pattern and the 97-03 went metric, so neither will fit a Ranger without modification.

Most Rangers came with 15" wheels. I think all 4x4s did, and many 2wds also, and after 2000 or so I think the 14s weren't even offered.
