I have done a lot of work to it in the last 2 months or so.......it sat up for about 6 months and since i decided to put it back on the road it needed a lot of work....

starter
fuel pump (complete assembly)(in tank)
fuel filter
battery
catalytic converter (Midas flunkies)
rear drum brake rebuild (wheel cylinder and spring set on driver's side)

Last weekend I noticed a fuel leak while filling the tank and figured out that the filler neck was cracked and I must have damaged it when i changed the fuel pump.

So my 11 year old and I pulled the bed off, and while we were at it we took off the spare tire carrier under the bed. Its amazing the stuff you can find to do when you get bored.

2.3 eh.....so a 2.3 turbo swap may be in order

ive never messed with rear window glass, so im not sure

window guys can come to you house and do it cheap.... i paid $35 for labor. junkyard window $20, that was on my old ranger though.

you can do the fender and the glass on your own. neither are very difficult. the fender is really straight forward, just a bunch of bolts. the window shouldnt have any hardware holding it in, just the rubber seal. lube it up with dish soap and use a couple small screwdrivers to pull the old one out. then use some nylon cord with a bunch of dish soap to put the new one in. put the cord in the groove in the weather strip, put the window in from the outside, with the ends of the cord hanging inside the truck. then you just pull on each end of the cord to pull the weather strip inside the truck (youll see what i mean if you go look at it)

i mean i looked around in there today and saw a few 5/16" screws........was that about all holding it on????

a couple in the door jamb area as well, and behind the corner light,and under truck, where mud flap would be.

holy cow you guys are fast........so im not too worried about the fender then.....the window is a different story though.....i did find one @ the junkyard for 100 bux for solid and only wanted 55 bux to install it..... i was really hoping to find another one that opens....

and yes......i do understand what you are talking about with the nylon string and the window gasket.......i have seen and heard of doing that before.....so im sure with a little bit of the good herbal medicine i should be able to get my balls big enuff to give it a try.....
