I have a 1994 Ford Ranger XLt 4.O litter V6 that keeps melting the coil pack and it is starting to get expensive. I have changed the computer out and took the wiring harness off and changed out the conncector. It only blows the coil pack on 2 cylinders. Does any body have any ideas.

How fast does it blow after installing a new one? Maybe a dead short. Did you check your plug wires on those two cylinders?

I drove it up the road about mile from the house and it blowed it instanly. It only blows the center coil out. I believe it is the 2 and 6th cylinder.
