1994 ranger 4.0 exhaust pipe diameter

just like the title says does anyone know a stock 4.0 1994 rangers inlet and outlet for the muffler pipe diameter? looking to get my brother a new muffler for Christmas and i dont know if i measured it correctly. for the muffler i measured 2" inlet and 2" outlet. Doesnt seem right to me. Anyways thanks.

no problem, hey im new to this site and im lookin into getting a ranger but im lookin for somthing cheap its doesnt have to have a motor as long as it had a 2.3 in it? if u kno any thing let me kno, thanks.

Will do. I bought my ranger at auction for $550 and its currently in the shop with a newly rebuilt 2.3 i put in it. Currently doing body work and getting ready to paint it.

ok, since it is 2" and not 2.25, is their a way that I could use the 2.25 on the 2" pipe?

You could probably still use it. I bought a 2.5" muffler and was able to use it with the 2.25" tubing i did my exhaust in.

could it be clamped on that way or did you weld it on? Dont they make adapters to make this work?

yes you should be able to get one at an autoparts store.

its 2.25 i just looked on me brothers and u can also look on summit racing and jegs the stock size is 2.25

The factory pipe is most definitely 2.25", mights be 2" on the inside, but that don't matter.
