I took it to a shop. I dont have an ac at all, the guy said i need a new ac compressor, condensor, orifice, lines etc. but i live in vegas and its getting hot.can someone help me out with some more info of all exactly what i need for my ac, or what i can pull in a junk yard?
pictures would be greatly appreciated. thank you so much.

that circle thing that looks like a filter cant be gotten from a junkyard. there cheap anyways to get new, but you should be able to get a compressor from a yard. its easy to take off, its like 4 bolts. i had a 94 that the compressor froze and i had to replace. it was actually very easy. should bolt right to the block . i dont know about the condensor, sorry :(
you could always do the 2 down 65 a/c method.

Basically, he is replacing the compete system except for the evaporator. I would get a 2nd opinion.

No one can tell you what you need for your system without being there to check it out. Your problem could be as simple as needing refrigerant.

You can usually get a new compressor with accumulator, and orifice tube for less than $300 bucks, and it will come with a warranty. Unless the condenser is damaged, there is no need to replace. Same with hoses unless they are leaking.

To see what the system is doing, you need to check pressures, and know how to read them. Again, 2nd opinion.

When buying anything from salvage, I always look for a vehicle that has been wrecked, and has lower mileage. More than likely, most components are still working ok. If the body is in good shape, not wrecked or damaged, it is there because it is worn out, and I would not trust any parts off of it.:)shady
