first off its a 1994 explorer 4.0 auto 2wd, and im having a little trans issue, fluid is full, and when you put it in gear the trans doesent engage until you hit the gas and let off, any advice would help thanks guys

Sounds like a fluid pump issue. But do tell us.. Is the fluid new? Did you drop the pan and take a look at the filter? How dos it do once it engages?

yes fluid is new, weird thing is that i went out this morning and the tranny started working great when i fired it up seems to be fine now
