While putting the truck back together I discovered that the rubber around my carrier bearing is just about shot. So since I don't want to tear back into it in a month or two I want to replace it. I am going to the local marine bearing house and see if they have one. But it helps if I have a valid part number before I go. I can't seem to find one on ebay but I came up with a part number hb-106-ff which says it is for 85-89 Ranger and 86-89 Aerostar. Is this the same bearing that is used in the 94 extended cab? If not does anyone know the part number?

Answered my own question.
HBD206FF center support bearing

Just in case any of you need to know.

not sure if you realize this jim, but the 98+ extended cabs used a single piece driveshaft that doesnt use the carrier bearing. not sure how available parts are down there but it may be worth a shot. thats what i did when i had carrier bearing issues. as for the bearing part numbers, it looks like the bearing its self should be a 6206 -2RS (or 206FF or 206PP) (30x62x16, 2 rubber seals) but i cant find any info on the support they use. heres a few actual part numbers from rock auto. its a shame, the cheapest bearing they stock is only about $10 but its gonna be probably $50 to ship to ya

anchor - 6062
national/timken - HBD206FF
skf - HB209KF

hope that helps

Hey thanks kunar. I wish I could dig up a one piece drive shaft here but I can tell you pickups don't end up in the junkyard here. They weld them back together until they cut them up and build another one out of them. I am fairly certain the bearing place will have one. If not it will be a RockAuto purchase and I'll get another one of those tool box magnet classic car sticker things.

You are talking about the bearing that goes in the middle of the two piece driveshafts that we have right.

These are avalible from Autozone and RockAuto. I belive you can get them shiped to you in Panama.

They are listed as "Driveshaft Center Support"
