1993 Splash build

Brad, want to borrow my tires for that ultimate test? :D

You might need a couple more inches of lift to fit my tires though :icon_thumby:

Being broke has my imagination going. Did this up real quick on Microsoft Paint

Looks pretty good, Brad. I'm going something similar with the tube bed plans for HWW. Something simple, but effective, with minimal tube. A cross between a tube bed with the looks of a flat utility bed...

your paint skills are impressive. Looks like a cool idea

Thanks guys. I was going to get a standard bed and bob it but I saw a flatbed photo the other day that I really liked and I added to it a little bit. I think this would suit my needs perfect.

And yes, Paint has been my "go-to" program for a while now. It's a heck of a lot easier than PhotoShop lol

Not much to update. All of my tools for installing my gears should be here by tomorrow. I'm going to go pick up my ring gear bolt sleeves friday evening and try my hand at installing these gears. I've got my setup bearings made, setup inner pinion race made, new outer pinion race installed, and just got some more lock-tite/silicone.

Setting up gears are not that hard to do. Once you do the first set, it gets easier.

Its not too hard, just follow the torque specs and the wide internal custom bearings make it so easy to mock shims.

So you did end up needing those bolt sleeves? Hmm I am almost 100% sure I didn't need any. Weird.

Yes. For peace of mind, I'm going with them. It's only an extra $25.00 or so. I just don't like the fact that they have 3/8" bolts with 7/16" holes.

Got my inner pinion bearing (with baffle) pressed on tonight, ring gear installed and torqued with lock-tite, new bolts and sleeves (yes, it is a GOOD idea to use them). Went to install my inner axle seals, and of course they're wrong so I have to go into town tomorrow and get new ones.

You make it sound like such a trek.

I can get from your house to the light in less than 3 minutes when the roads aren't covered in ice. And that is without trying.
