1993 Splash build

So.....BC bronco coils were 160 + 50 bucks shipping! That's freaking outrageous.

I kinda remember them being over 200 bucks when it was all said and done, but they were the only place I could find tall enough coils.

Well worth it IMO. They're the perfect coil for an x-cab ranger it seems.

Got my frame mounts bolted up tonight. Now it looks like I have to shorten my crossmember. It's 1-5/8" too long...

The bolts Im using are certified frame bolts for big rigs with steel (no, not nylon) locknuts. I used 2 on the horizontal part of the frame and 3 on the vertical part of the frame. I might add a couple stich welds but I'm not sure yet. I had to weld a nut on the inside of the mount bc you cant get a wrench back in there.

Crossmember is in. As of now, at full flex, it does not need recessed for driveshaft clearance. We will see once my x-arms are in.

Looks pretty sweet!! Going to be done by the end of the weekend?

Hell no! Lol. I have to build walls and hang drywall tomorrow and Sunday....The actual build probably wont happen til next weekend or so.

Drywall, walls? No, you gotta come help me swap my front end.

Dude, trust me, if I had time, I'd be there.

Nah, it's cool. The axle I can do. It's next spring when I am probably going to be swapping cabs and stripping her down to the frame. Then I'm gonna need all the help I can get.

Im game to help dude! Just give me a holler. Btw, what was wrong with Micah's BII? I saw it for the first time in months in his driveway the other day...

The way she'll sit for the next month. Let the build begin! Oh, and this is sad, but that's a full droop. Tires are off the ground a 1/4"

I haven't seen Micah for about a month now. Last thing that I knew was wrong was the o-ring that seals the line into the high pressure pump was leaking and he siphoned half a tank of fuel onto the front yard of one of his friends. It had some sort of parasitic draw that kept killing his battery over night too. He didn't want to drive it with those two things going on.

You don't have any idea where you can get the axle nut socket for the D-35 with auto hubs around here do you? I checked AZ, Advance, Harbor Frieght, I even stopped by Rich Hughes' house. Nobody has this stupid thing and I would really like to get this axle apart today.

No idea to tell you the truth. I'd check NAPA tho. I've always used a brass chisel and a deadblow hammer. Then again, I only had them for 4 months before I swapped to lockouts :D

My brass drift is at work and I can't get into the building today.

Napa has them available, but not in stock, and they are closed today too. Guess I'll just have to order one.

I'm planning to switch back to manual hubs one of these days, but I still have to get that nut off.

If you're switching back, just use a steel chisel.
