Hi, I am having a major problem trying to get my truck started. Died on the xpress way going to work, just stopped running. Still had gauges and all other electrical. Cranks but does not start. What we have done so far- replaced crank trigger sensor, Checked DIS module at local parts store and mechanic has replaced it too, replaced EEC IV computer , checked all wiring ,the mechanic took all harnesses apart and did a visual also and tested every harness connection. He has told me that it still is not getting a tach/rpm signal so it is not tell the ign to fire. We are stumped and I have also warrentied the ecm (EEC IV) to make sure we did not get a bad one. Any help that any one could give is greatly appreciated. oh, it is a 2.3 L 4cyl w/ dual coil packs which have been tested and check out OK.

Well, most of us here would have you check the usual. Can we assume you're not getting spark? Are you getting fuel?

Apparently I can't edit a post on tapatalk. So I assume it's not getting spark. Obviously worry about that first. Timing?

Sent from my iPhone while clubbing baby seals. There's an app for that!

Check the grounds from the battery to power distribution box

I have sent it to a mechanic , he said that the ground was good when checked not running, when they turned it to on the ground was gone. They ran a redundant ground and got it running for 15 min, now it wont start again. He says I may have to get another crank sensor. I am not very happy, they have already warrantied one for so far at the auto parts store.
