i had an exhaust shop fix my exhaust after i convert to a manual. When i got it back it is now only getting seven MPG. I thought they might have switched the o2's around so i switched them back. It ran really good for about ten miles now it stutters really bad under a load or under 2000 RPM's, but if i give it WOT it runs really really good...any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you still using the auto computer? Pull codes!

I would get a wiring diagram and see which wires are going to which side. I went through this (switching the O2's) last week, after doing my tranny swap last November...
Just figure out which color wires should go to which side, and go from there. Sounds like it was correct before, and you switch it to how it shouldn't be.

i switch them ack to the way they were before and it runs alot better it still only getting seven miles a gallon and that aint right at all... and yes i still have the auto computer in it.

You should swap out your computer for one meant for a 4.0L and manual trans.

that should bring my gas mileage back to where it should be?

i doubt it. the only connection between PCM and transmission is for the torque converter lock-up solenoid. once the PCM figures out the transmission is "missing", itll trip a DTC.

pull codes.

ok i will pull the codes on wednesday during class... i will keep yall posted... thanks for the help

hey guys pulled the codes today and got P0171,P0172,P0174, P0175.
I also looked at my fuel trims at idle and they would go -15 on bank one then change to -15 bank two and alternate on short fuel trim. The long term fuel trims would do the same thing except over a longer period of time. ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
