1993 Hood to 2nd Gen?

No, they changed the shape of the nose and rad support/lock location. You may be able to bolt it on using the hinges, but after that it gets bent out of shape.

I think the main difference is the latch point...can't remember exactly...the 93 and up are more rounded where the 92 and down are flatter...

If you are not sure about a part there are two things you can check...one is the years that are listed for the part...and you will see something like 93 through 11 or similar...because most third gen stuff fits gens 4 and 5 for the cab...things like 4 doors and dash parts tend to be different...or you can go to a junkyard if you have them in your area and measure...

Even having the three vehicles I recently combined (96, 92, 88) sitting in the same yard within two or three steps of each other, I had to measure several times and in some cases take one part off one vehicle and test it on the other...it can be deceptive to just try to eyeball them.

So...anyway...we also have a growing "parts interchangeable" list going on the site...there are references there as to what parts will fit other gens...but asking is always allowed...:)

The gen3+ hood won't fit the older ones. Even if everything else lines up when you go to close it you will break something because of the difference in the shape.
