I stumbled across a barn find This truck is a 1993 4x4 super cab xlt truck with a 3.0 Vulcan and a 5 speed manual. Seller claims it drove when he parked it a year ago. The tires are flat and dry rotted the interior has some tears, the interior is red, which is rare I think. it’s got some heavy rust, though not near as much as it would be in the rust belt, so it’s still usable. The engine was replaced at some point and so was the transmission, but the odometer read 900,000mi from what I understand the engine has 500,000mi on it and the transmission is around 600,000mi. The exterior has dents scratches… the tailgate is broken and the windshield has a big crack. The fellow is asking $1,500 for it. I nearly choked. That sounds very high. I would post pictures but I don’t know if the seller would be fine with that. It runs and idles rough until it stalls, the seller says you need to run it hard and break it back in. It was parked for a year before we started it. What’s your opinion? Maybe it would make a good candidate for a v8 swap? If so I would like to make it daily driveable for now until the swap. What kind of a counter offer do you think sounds reasonable. It’s in rough shape I think. I could drive it out if what he says is true, assuming the tires hold air. I’m thinking $600
