I have a chance to get a 1987 ford country squire station wagon with the 5.0 and aod trans. My question is can I swap it into my 1993 ford explore. I know the wagon is setup with speed density, and my truck is setup as maf. What all do I need from the station wagon to make this work

Yes, you can, but there are some good reasons not to--like it's only a 15hp increase over the 4.0, and that's going turn into a lot of money spent for very little gain. If you are staying 2wd it won't be too difficult. A better option is to get a late model Explorer engine--it has a much shorter FEAD, better breathing, and more HP. I just went through this and gave up on the anemic '89 Marquis engine and used a Mustang HO to build a better alternative.
