1992 Ranger Lower Steering Shaft Replacement/Repair

The lower steering shaft on my 1992 Ranger is pretty rusty and worn. Are there any replacement options out there new or used other than just early Rangers part? Will other vehicles parts work? I know they have some replacement rag joints, but fitment seems to not be great.
