I like the 7' bed for being useful as a truck, but the idea of having some storage space in the backseat where theives wont attack your toolbox..... man if I thought I could flip mine and rehab that one without really being anything into it I am soo tempted.

Fort Morgan and I are squarely in hail alley, the fact there isn't a hail dent in that thing tells me it has spent it's life in a garage. Put that together with the overall condition everywhere else and I tend to ignore the rest of it... got caught up in the pictures and missed the WTF in the text till you pointed it out.
 
You say that, but look at the rear wheel arch. To me that isn't a vehicle that has spent its life garaged. Looks more like someone did a bondo patch on the rust and gave it a respray some years ago, the rust coming back with a vengence. I'd have to wonder how many other area are waiting to reappear.

That's coming from someone that doesn't live in the rust belt and rarely sees things get rusted out like that.
 
I was thinking that was the reflections of the landscaping (low shrubby evergreens "bushes" - really basically 8" high groundcover, dark dark green) and the people (the two shiny white reflections at the front of the arch) and that it was perfect and glossy.... That said the resolution is low enough it doesn't stand up to enlargement and just goes to pot when I try to zoom in.

Either the tree limbs reflected in the hood are also reflected on the bed rails or it has 2 dozen stripes in the bed rails too - holes from a camper/topper/other add on.

It definitely has been molested a little - that style mirrors didn't exist on 2nd gen, came in with 3rd gen right? So body work to remove the holes from the mirror swap. Which basically demands that it has to have been painted. The two tone scheme has the stripe lower than what Ford did factory in 2nd gen if I see things right. They did a great job doing the sheetmetal under the headliner (missing) and jambs if they changed color.

That style mirrors came at least as early as the second gens. First and second gens definitely got flag mirrors, not just the classic style tow mirrors. My dad's 90 BII had the same style on that truck. I'm thinking that they may have come on first gens too, but those may have just gotten the chrome flag style.

I said respray. Respray does not = color change. It may not have been resprayed. Given the age, IMO the fender rust does not match the paint condition. Maybe it was stored inside, but it's hard for me to believe that the truck was maintained that well cosmetically, but allowed to rust out like that.
