Ok well Im still looking for a first truck. But i want to get something tall big wheels and looks SICK. I was looking on craigslist and i found the most beautiful truck ever. So i thought i would build one just like it.

Well to be honest i have no idea what im getting myself into but i tell you what there's no stopping me.

Anyway I'm not sure exactly what i need to make it just like this truck. Someone give me ideas of what i need?:icon_cheers:

If you are still lookin for a ranger to build, id stick with a 4.0 Ranger from the early to mid 90s. Way easy and cheaper to lift than 98+ models.

Yeah well the problem is I looked all over for just a plain old red STX 88s~92. I couldn't find one. Eather they where 2wd or bad condition or not a crew cab or both. CAn you get ford to redo the paint job for some cash?

if your going to lift it then theres really no point in looking for a stock STX (it had a 1.5" lift on it from the factory) other than it has the cool sticker on it. you could always go to a place like auto 1 that makes decals and have them make a replica of the stx graphic to stick on a stock ext. cab 4x4?

yes 4x4. what would that cost and all of the stuff to lift it. Also what do you recomend for a lift kit

I have a '91 STX 4x4 and as I came to figure out there rare. the most common STX are 2wd followed by regular cab 4x4 then extended cab 4x4. I like having the long bed though.

I also have a 2.9, but i have an explorer sitting next to in in the drive way with a 4.0...and I'm sold on the swap eventually.
