Hey all,
Title says most of it. I have a 1991 Ranger with a dead 4 banger and a 5-speed stick(also AC delete, though I will eventually want to add A/C). Would like to put a stock EFI 5.0 with automatic OD trans. Well stock for now, eventally will hot rod it.... I am not new to wrenching, but dont currently have a garage to do the swap. Plenty of tools though. I have researched ALOT on the swap and would like to do as much of a "bolt" in swap as possible. Know about the motor mounts, new rad, oil relocator...etc. Not afraid of wiring the computer stuff either. Basically I need help getting the "right" motor/trans/ecu combo for "cheap"(but still reliable). Wouldnt mind someone else's project they have given up on. A 91 or newer "donor" truck would be ideal. Definitely open to trades, I have a ton of stereo gear(home, auto, pro) and 20 years of audio/video knowledge too. Also have a 95 f150 crew cab 4x4 with a 351(yeah already thought about the 351 swap....going for something easier) with a ton of miles that I might be willing to part with if I get enough "help"/parts. Also have plenty of other random stuff to trade. Sorry if this should of been in the classified section, please move if need be. I will do a picture by picture build log though if that helps...maybe even video if wanted; to add to the tech library. Due to the nature of the post I would like to hook up with someone somewhat local to St. Charles, MO. I do have some cash, but have a feeling that the custom exhaust and drive shaft are going to eat up most of that.
That being said, if there is any one close that is willing to help, please let me know....
