I just bought a 1991 8.8" open rear end with 3.08 gears from a 2WD Super Cab Ranger with 4.0L (axle code 92).

My Ranger has the 7.5" rear with 3.45 gears (axle code 84).

Question: in 1991 what gears did the 2WD Super Cab with the 2.9L engine did the 8.8" rear end come with? Google doesn't want to come up with the answer.

Thanks!

That's because it was a crapshoot... for 8.8" gears some came with 3.27, some 3.55, some 3.73, the only guarantee on what gear ratio is in a RBV is a 4x4 2.3L powered Ranger, they all had 4.10's and regular cabs
