1990 door latch cable

I might have to replace the inside drivers door latch cable but I see they only list 93-2011 for cables and have read on this forum that they are to short for the 1990.I have also heard the f-150 cables will work.does anyone have any experience with this?

Unfortunately, no. My experience is limited to the 94 and that was PIA. Good luck with it.

You sure yours has a cable?
My 1990 is all linkage rods (there are no cables). My '94 has cables.

you are correct.as of yesterday I took the door panel off to see what I had to fix and to my surprise it does have rods and not cables.so I’m going to replace the interior door handle because it has a lot of slack in the plastic handle unlike the passenger side which is still in good shape
